HYSF SUBSEA launches online tools to help engineers select underwater connectors and cross-reference existing subsea connector part numbers.
LA, UNITED STATES, August 27, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — HYSF SUBSEA, an underwater connector manufacturer specializing in subsea electrical and data connectivity solutions, has launched two new online engineering resources designed to help engineers, system integrators and procurement teams simplify subsea connector selection and identify suitable alternatives for existing underwater connector systems.
The newly launched Underwater Connector Selector allows users to search and narrow suitable underwater connectors based on technical and application requirements rather than manually reviewing multiple product catalogs.
Engineers can filter connector options according to transmission type, number of contacts, current, voltage, operating depth, mating method, bulkhead or inline configuration, mounting requirements, housing materials and compatibility considerations.
The selector covers a wide range of subsea connectivity requirements, including electrical power, signal transmission, Ethernet, coaxial, fiber optic and hybrid applications.
For marine equipment designers, choosing the correct connector often requires balancing several factors at the same time, including available installation space, pressure rating, cable specifications, electrical load and mechanical interface. The new tool is intended to make subsea connector selection faster during early-stage system design and component evaluation.
Typical applications include remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs), underwater cameras, sonar systems, subsea sensors, oceanographic instruments, offshore energy equipment and other marine technology platforms.
HYSF SUBSEA has also introduced an online cross-reference resource designed for customers evaluating replacement connectors or additional sourcing options for existing subsea equipment.
The tool allows engineers to enter an existing connector manufacturer or part number and review corresponding HYSF SUBSEA product families where a supported cross-reference is available.
This is particularly relevant for organizations evaluating SubConn and SEACON alternatives, maintaining legacy subsea equipment or looking to establish additional supply options without redesigning complete underwater systems.
Selected HYSF SUBSEA Micro and Standard Series underwater connectors are designed to provide compatible configurations for corresponding SubConn and SEACON connector families. Compatibility can include mating interfaces, contact arrangements and commonly used mechanical configurations, depending on the specific product model.
Final connector selection should still be confirmed against the exact part number, pin configuration, electrical requirements, pressure rating, cable specifications and operating environment before use.
“Many subsea projects begin with either a limited set of technical parameters or an existing connector part number,” said Rain Wu, Business Development Manager at HYSF SUBSEA. “Our goal is to help engineers identify suitable connector options more efficiently before moving into drawing review, STEP file evaluation, cable specification and final technical confirmation.”
一、 Broad Range of Underwater Connector Solutions
HYSF SUBSEA develops and manufactures underwater connectivity products for marine robotics, ocean research, offshore energy, subsea instrumentation and industrial underwater systems.
The company’s portfolio includes Micro and Standard underwater connectors, compact connector systems, high-current connectors, Ethernet connectors, high-frequency coaxial connectors, fiber optic connectors, hybrid electro-optical solutions and custom cable assemblies.
Depending on the connector family and configuration, HYSF SUBSEA offers products with multiple contact arrangements, compact mechanical formats and deep-water capabilities for demanding subsea environments.
Selected product families are available for applications requiring operating depths up to 6,000 meters, while high-current configurations are available for systems requiring significantly higher electrical loads than conventional signal connectors.
For underwater communication and sensing systems, HYSF SUBSEA also provides Ethernet, coaxial and fiber optic solutions designed for subsea data transmission.
Available configurations include bulkhead receptacles, inline cable connectors, right-angle versions, pressure-balanced oil-filled applications and custom cable assemblies.
二、Engineering Support for Customized Applications
In addition to standard underwater connectors, HYSF SUBSEA supports project-specific connector customization.
Engineering options can include customized cable lengths, conductor sizes, cable jacket materials, shielding structures, mounting threads, housing materials and connector layouts.
Materials such as stainless steel, aluminum alloy and other application-specific housing options can be evaluated depending on corrosion resistance, weight, installation environment and system requirements.
Customers can also request technical datasheets, dimensional drawings and STEP files to support mechanical integration and system design.
For projects where standard connector configurations are not suitable, HYSF SUBSEA works with customers to review electrical, mechanical and pressure requirements before recommending or developing an appropriate solution.
三、Supporting Alternative Sourcing for Subsea Systems
Supply continuity and long equipment service life have become increasingly important considerations for marine technology companies.
Subsea equipment may remain operational for many years, while connector availability, lead times and sourcing requirements can change throughout the lifecycle of a system.
The HYSF SUBSEA cross-reference tool is therefore designed not only for new system development but also for maintenance, retrofit and replacement projects.
Engineers evaluating SubConn and SEACON alternatives can use the online resource as an initial reference before requesting detailed compatibility confirmation from HYSF SUBSEA.
By combining online product selection, cross-reference information, technical documentation and engineering support, HYSF SUBSEA aims to make underwater connector evaluation more efficient for global subsea equipment manufacturers and engineering teams.
