South Florida, prepare for liftoff. The Moonwalkers: A Journey with Tom Hanks has landed, inviting audiences to experience the Moon like never before.

MIAMI, Aug. 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — South Florida PBS announces that tickets will go on sale Thursday, August 20th, for THE MOONWALKERS: A JOURNEY WITH TOM HANKS, an awe-inspiring 360° immersive experience taking audiences on an unforgettable journey through humanity’s exploration of the Moon. The experience opens its doors on September 24, 2026, at The Cornelia T. Bailey Center at South Florida PBS in Boynton Beach and runs through March 24, 2027.

Narrated by Tom Hanks, The Moonwalkers: A Journey with Tom Hanks combines breathtaking 360° projections, rare and remastered NASA footage, immersive spatial audio and powerful storytelling to transport visitors from the pioneering Apollo missions to the next era of lunar exploration.

Audiences will relive the extraordinary story of humanity’s first journeys to the Moon while looking ahead to NASA’s Artemis program, which is paving the way for a new generation of lunar exploration.

The approximately 50-minute immersive experience surrounds visitors with spectacular imagery and immersive sound, accompanied by a cinematic score performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

Visitors will:

  • Meet a hologram astronaut and discover what it takes to journey to the Moon through an interactive conversation about life in space.
