Instead of combining a separate editor, Git client, issue tracker, and AI chat windows, developers can work in one workflow-aware environment designed for AI-assisted development.
As AI agents take on more day-to-day coding and refactoring work, the surrounding development tools have not kept pace. Most AI coding products are still built around a single surface, typically an editor, and understand only that part of the workflow. Issue trackers, Git history, pull requests, and CI runs often remain in separate applications, each with its own context.
Zide takes a different approach. Projects, issues, Git, pull requests, CI, terminals, and Zide Assist share the same native desktop workspace. Zide works with GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket and is AI platform-agnostic by design, allowing teams to work across repository hosts and supported model providers.

AI platform-agnostic by design. Zide Assist works across supported model providers, including Claude, Codex, and Gemini. Developers can select the model that best fits the task without being limited to a single AI provider.
One workspace for the workflow. Issues, Git, diffs, pull requests, CI runs, and terminals are brought together in a tabbed, splittable interface. Developers can move from an issue to implementation and review without leaving the app. Zide also supports agentic, worktree-based development within the same workspace.
Major repository-host support. Zide supports GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket, allowing teams to maintain an integrated workflow without being limited to one repository provider.
A native desktop application. Built with Tauri and Rust rather than as a browser-based wrapper, Zide is designed to remain fast and responsive for developers working across large, multi-repository codebases.
Plans and Availability
Zide enters public beta on Monday, August 24, 2026, and is available for macOS, Windows, and Linux.
Zide offers a free plan with access to public repositories. Paid plans add unlimited private repositories, DevOps capabilities across GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket, monthly Zide Assist credits, broader model access, bring-your-own-key support, and compatible local models.
