Brian Pigg was born in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1968. Seeking his own path, he joined the United States Army and was commissioned as a lieutenant in May 1990. After his military service, he worked in construction and traveled throughout the southern United States before returning to Missouri when his mother became ill.
Pigg later returned to school and built a long-term career in the information technology industry. He now lives in Kansas City, Missouri. Metamorphosis By Decree: The Beginning is his first published novel and the opening book in a fantasy series exploring faith, friendship, sacrifice, social expectations, institutional power, and the courage required to challenge accepted norms in pursuit of a better life for everyone.
